The Coláiste Éinde Parents' and Guardians' Council is made up of all parents/guardians of pupils attending the school and is associated with the National Parents Council Post Primary.
The general objectives of the Council are to:
- Act as a conduit between the parents/guardians and the school.
- Encourage dialogue with the Board of Management and other partners relating to parents’/guardians’ expectations for their students.
- Ensure that parents/guardians are represented at all levels in the consultative process of school development planning and decision-making, especially where it impacts students and/or their families.
- Help parents/guardians acquire the necessary skills that their role demands.
- Create a space where parents/guardians of the school can meet, connect and build a mutually supportive school community in line with the ethos of the school.
- To fundraise only to the extent of supporting the above objectives
The annual general meeting (AGM) of the Council takes place in September/October each year.
The affairs of the Council are administered by a Committee, consisting of no more than 15 parents (minimum 8 parents) elected each year at the AGM. The current committee of 15 persons, meets monthly during the school year September to June, and operates within the framework of the Constitution for the Parents and Guardians’ Council( last updated December 2022).
